Thotfy Crafting Code

Welcome to Thotfy – India’s marketplace for handcrafted, creative, and original products. This Creator’s Policy outlines what is allowed and not allowed to be listed by creators on our platform. We aim to support genuine artistry, handmade excellence, and ethical commerce.

1. What You Can Sell on Thotfy

We celebrate creators, crafters, artists, and makers. Products listed on Thotfy must reflect originality, effort, and a human touch. You are allowed to list:

✅ Handmade or Creator-Led Products

  • Items made by you or a small team using traditional or modern handmade techniques.
    Examples: macrame wall hangings, crochet toys, resin coasters, handmade jewelry.

✅ Traditional Art & Regional Crafts

  • Items that preserve or revive local and cultural crafts and techniques.
    Examples: Madhubani art, Pattachitra, terracotta diyas, wooden toys.

✅ Personalized & Custom-Made Gifts

  • Products tailored to the buyer's request and crafted by you.
    Examples: engraved keychains, nameplates, custom couple illustrations.

✅ Creative Works & Art Prints

  • Your original artwork or designs, sold as physical or printed goods.
    Examples: watercolor prints, photography, mandala art, poetry booklets.

✅ Craft Supplies & DIY Kits

  • Supplies made by you or curated for other creators.
    Examples: handmade clay cutters, DIY soap kits, seed paper, embroidery kits.

✅ Eco-Friendly & Upcycled Products

  • Items using recycled or sustainable materials that promote conscious creativity.
    Examples: upcycled denim bags, glass bottle lamps, seed paper notebooks.

2. What You Cannot Sell on Thotfy

To ensure buyer trust and platform authenticity, the following types of products are strictly prohibited:

❌ Mass-Produced or Factory-Made Goods

  • Items that are machine-produced, imported in bulk, or sold without personal involvement.
    Examples: synthetic plastic toys, generic mass-produced jewelry.

❌ Resale or Drop shipped Products

  • Products not made or designed by you, especially those sourced from wholesale platforms.
    Examples: Amazon/Facebook Marketplace reselling, AliExpress imports.

❌ Branded or Copyrighted Merchandise (Without License)

  • Products using names, logos, characters, or images that you do not own or have permission to use.
    Examples: Disney prints, Marvel logos, unlicensed BTS merchandise.

❌ Regulated or Prohibited Items

  • Items that may require licenses or are not legally allowed for sale online.
    Examples: cosmetics without safety approval, herbal remedies, food items, alcohol, tobacco.

❌ Offensive or Inappropriate Content

  • Items that promote hate, violence, obscenity, or disrespect any religion, gender, or community.
    Examples: adult products, hate symbols, controversial political merchandise.

3. Your Responsibility as a Creator

By listing on Thotfy, you agree to:

  • Only upload products that you’ve created, designed, or assembled.
  • Be transparent about materials, production time, and custom options.
  • Respect buyer trust and Thotfy’s community standards.
  • Respond to queries and fulfill orders within the promised timeline.

4. Policy Violation Consequences

Violating the Creator’s Policy may result in:

  • Product listing removal
  • Temporary or permanent shop suspension
  • Withholding of payouts for disputed transactions

Thotfy reserves the right to review and moderate any product or seller account in the interest of buyer protection and platform integrity.
