Shipping & Delivery Policy

1. Overview

This Shipping & Delivery Policy outlines the roles and responsibilities of sellers regarding order fulfillment on the Thotfy marketplace. Currently, all sellers are required to manage their own shipping (self-shipping). This ensures flexibility for artisans and small creators to use shipping methods best suited to their region and capacity.

2. Shipping Method

🟡 Current Available Method: Self-Shipping Only

  • Self-Shipping means the seller is solely responsible for packing, shipping, tracking, and delivering orders to customers using any courier of their choice.

3. Vendor Responsibilities

All vendors are required to:

  • Dispatch Orders Promptly: Within the declared time mentioned in the product Description/Attributes of receiving the order.
  • Share Tracking Details: Upload tracking ID and courier name on the Thotfy dashboard within 48 hours of dispatch.
  • Ensure Reliable Delivery: Choose trusted courier services.
  • Communicate Proactively: Notify Thotfy support or the customer in case of delays or issues.

4. Shipping Charges

  • Vendors may:
    • Include shipping cost in product pricing (Free Shipping).
    • Set a flat shipping rate per order or per product.
  • Charges are visible to the buyer during checkout.
  • Sellers are responsible for collecting or absorbing any additional delivery costs.

5. Delivery Timelines

  • Self-Shipping 4–10 business days (approx.)
  • Made-to-order items Add the number of days for preparation

Note: Delivery times may vary based on the destination and courier service.

6. Returns & Reverse Logistics

  • In case of customer returns:
    • The seller must arrange reverse pickup.
    • Return policy should be clearly mentioned on the product page.
  • If the product is damaged in transit, the seller is responsible for resolution.

7. Lost or Damaged Parcels

  • The seller must coordinate with the chosen courier service in case of:
    • Lost shipments
    • Delayed delivery
    • Damaged goods
  • Thotfy is not liable for third-party courier delays or losses under self-shipping.

8. COD Orders

  • Cash on Delivery (COD) is currently not supported.
  • Only prepaid orders are allowed.

9. Non-Compliance

Sellers failing to meet the above standards may face:

  • Reduced visibility on Thotfy
  • Temporary suspension of shop
  • Withholding of payouts until resolution

10. Future Updates

Thotfy is working towards integrating logistics partners to make shipping easier. Once available, sellers will have the option to opt for Thotfy-powered shipping.
